What AI adds to storage auction research
A storage unit can have dozens of objects in a few photos. LockerHunt uses available photo analysis, including with Free accounts, to help you review possible items, useful resale signals and risks such as bulky contents or cleanup work. The analysis is a research aid: it cannot see inside sealed boxes or test an item.
Use the findings to decide what deserves a closer look. A possible console, power tool or collectible is a reason to inspect the source photos carefully, not confirmation of its model, condition or resale price.
Free AI ranking and Pro opportunity and affinity
Free: compare the auction facts
The public base score runs from 0 to 100 using unit size, current bid, photo count and closing time. Free accounts also get a general AI ranking and available photo notes. See the free scoring rules.
Pro: add evidence and your preferences
The workspace score can use available AI findings and your personal category or keyword rules. Your cost settings inform estimates such as suggested bid limits and potential profit. These are estimates, not appraisals or guaranteed returns.
An AI-assisted score may go up or down when analysis arrives. A useful-looking item can add positive evidence; cleanup concerns or other negative signals can reduce it. Your workspace score can also differ from another account's because your preferences differ.
How to use the photo analysis
- Shortlist by location and closing time. A promising unit still needs to fit your pickup schedule and transport options.
- Read the AI findings when available. Look for the categories that matter to you and for potential downsides. Some units may still be awaiting analysis.
- Check every source photo. Look for evidence of the actual item, rather than its packaging, a logo or an obstructed shape.
- Review your costs and bid limit. Use your own assumptions for travel, cleanup and resale. Confirm the current bid and auction terms on the original site.
Looking for gaming gear, tools or electronics?
Gaming research can include consoles, games, controllers and accessories across brands. Look for the actual equipment and its condition, not just branded packaging. Other categories can help you focus on tools, electronics and collectibles.
Combine those interests with your location and other criteria in the workspace. Pro email alerts can notify you about matching units, including units that become a match after photo analysis arrives. Choose criteria that are specific enough to keep the emails useful.
Manage your alerts after signing in, or review what Pro includes.
What an AI rating cannot tell you
AI can misidentify objects or miss something visible. A branded box may be empty, an item may be damaged, and hidden contents remain unknown. Treat model confidence and price estimates as uncertain signals, not evidence that a purchase will be profitable.
LockerHunt's scores are research scores, not customer reviews or star ratings. The platform does not bid for you, authenticate collectibles or guarantee the contents of a unit. The source auction and facility remain the places to confirm terms and bidding details.
Investigate a unit in depth
Ask for a fresh review of every available photo, including brands, labels and overlooked objects. Findings distinguish visible objects, possible identities and packaging with unverified contents. Price ranges are AI estimates, not verified sales. Free includes 1 report per calendar month; Pro and its trial include 10. Failed or cancelled work returns its credit.
Try Pro while keeping free browsing
New verified accounts include three months of Pro, with no card and no automatic charges. After the trial, Free keeps both general rankings, available AI notes, browsing and one monthly deep research report. Compare the plans to see the current feature split.
